Health Sector Coordinator Needed in DRC
CARE
is seeking a Health Coordinator for DRC Country Office. The Health
Coordinator will supervise the implementation of current health
activities by providing technical assistance to strengthen CARE DRC
capacity to deliver quality health programming, will ensure the quality
and consistency of DM&E strategies across the activities and will
actively promote linkages between the health sector and other
programming priorities within the Unifying and Underlying Causes of
Poverty framework. S/He will also devote significant time to strategic
planning and project development. The position will be based in Kasongo
with travel to Kindu and Goma for the first six months; after that the
position holder will move to Goma with regular travel (50% of his time)
to Kasongo.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Public Health or other Health
related field. At least 3 years experience working in developing
countries in TA roles and program management in the health sector.
Excellent Project design skills. Excellent English proposal writing
skills. Fluent verbal and written
French. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively
within a larger program team. Training and facilitation skills as
applied to a human-resources development program. Highly skilled in the
use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).
