Chère Thérèse,

IN
SOLIDARITY WITH ALL THE CONGOLESE WOMEN BRUTALLY RAPED IN EAST-CONGO

AND
EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD

As
long as women are raped everywhere in the world;

As
long as the rape of women is used as a war weapon, either to humiliate their
companions, either to infect them with HIV, either to make them bear the child
of the enemy;

As
long as women will be obliged to keep silent for not being driven away by their
family or their village;

As
long as the Medias will not sufficiently inform the public opinion about these
frightening crimes who occur everyday since years;

As
long as the international institutions will be content with a rhetoric
condemnation without bringing the necessary resources to curb the rapists who,
in a capitalist patriarchal system feel certain of
impunity;

SO
LONG

WOMEN
IN THE WORLD WILL FEEL THEMSELVES AS POSSIBLE VICTIMS OF RAPE AND WITH SUCH AN
EXAMPLE MEN WILL SAY: “IT DOES’NT MATTER SO MUCH!”
