08 11 11 MONUSCO urges congolese political leaders to restrain from incitement to violence

MONUSCO expresses its concern regarding the language employed by political leaders inciting electoral related violence.
 This constitutes direct violations of Congolese electoral law and international electoral standards.
MONUSCO wishes to stress that it is only through a free, fair and democratically held elections that Congolese can choose their political leaders.
