Financial Controller / Administrator (F / M) Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V.
The Financial Controller / Administrator (F / M) will be
– reporting to the programme coordinator in Lubumbashi and the headquarters in Berlin
– working with local stuff
Job Responsibilities:
– Manage financial administration: budgets (office, projects) with financial software “ProAbis”
– Prepare budgetary amendments, extensions, new budgets for approval by Berlin office
– Submit financial reports taking into account the financial guidelines of JUH and donors
– Control the budgets in consideration of the financial guidelines of JUH and donors
– Close advances
– Submit end-of-month account with financial software “ProAbis”
– Do monthly field accounts and financial analyses
– Plan financial budgets and observe expenditures in consideration of the financial guidelines of JUH and donors
– Administrate and control the cash box
– Maintain good cash flow
– Advise staff on goods orders, provide budgetary approval, liaison with Berlin office
– Inform programme coordinator on financial status
– Maintain good financial management procedures
– Stay in contact with the bank and manage the bank transactions as agreed with the programme coordinator
– Support the programmes coordinator (represent the organisation in
regular meetings; manage the local staff, especially the financial
staff if necessary; etc.)
– Cooperate with the headquarters in Berlin (especially the financial department)
– Execute administrative duties (filing, especially of financial and personnel documents, contacts, etc.)
– Submit minutes
– Manage the inventory and update the inventory list each month
– Execute any other duty if the supervisor aks for and if this duty is in line with his/her competences and expertise
Person Specification
Profession/Qualification: Administrator / Accountant
Experience:
– Solid experience in accounting and financial management procedures
– Field experience
Skills:
– University degree or equivalent
– At least 3 years of professional experience
– Fluent in French and good English and German language skills
– Financial knowledges
– Proposal and report writing, especially for budgets and financial reports
– People management and supervision
– Multi-tasking
– Communication, negotiation and representation
– Leadership and team-building

Terms and Conditions:
Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of prolongation up to 3 years)
Remuneration: Salary range depending on qualification and experience Per diem of EUR 50 per day in the field
