Legal experts address how UN report can bring justice to people of Africa's Great Lakes region

As a contribution of Break the Silence Congo Week III, IPS' Foreign Policy In Focus, in conjunction with Friends of the Congo will convene experts from the American Bar Association and practitioners of international law to weigh in on this matter by proposing a way forward for both local and international stakeholders to deliver justice to the people of Congo and others of the Great Lakes Region of Africa.

The purpose of Break the Silence Congo Week is to raise consciousness about the devastating situation in the Congo and mobilize international support on behalf of the Congolese people. Students and community organizers in over 200 university campuses and over 50 countries have participated in Congo Week since its inception in 2008. Get more information at www.congoweek.org
