Cinema Bilili: documentary Staff Benda Bilili on Wednesday September 7th (Kinshasa)

For the time being we have chosen to play a film every first Wednesday of the month with a link to the country where we now live. The first show is a film / documentary about "Staff Benda Bilili".

Therefore our name is "Bilili Cinema" or "images" in Lingala.

Staff Benda Bilili is a group of Congolese musicians, they play a mix of rumba, rock, blues and funk that reminds of the Cuban crooners. The front men are disabled from the slums of Kinshasa, they move themselves on adapted tricycles (a kind of three-wheelers) and are conquering stage after stage.
