19 07 13 Citizen (ken) : Kenyatta in DR Congo for Bilateral Talks

The two Heaqds of States focused on matters of
mutual interest on both bilateral and at regional levels.

They underlined the need to fast track
diplomatic engagements as well as agreements necessary to enhance cooperation
and facilitate trade and investment between the two countries.

The two Heads of State directed their
respective Ministers of Foreign Affairs to commence on consultations to improve
relations between the two governments.

President Kabila was then invited to make a
visit of Kenya
in order to cement relations between the two countries.

President Kenyatta on his visit to DRC was
accompanied by Cabinet Secretaries Ambassador Amina Mohammed of Foreign Affairs
and James Macharia of Health among other senior Government officials.
